Eva's Picks from the Runway-What's Hot and New

Runway shows are fun to watch, but not all designs are actually wearable in our everyday lives. I've selected those that are easy everyday additions to our wardrobes. As with all trends, you don't need to wear all of them. It's all about how a trend looks on you. 

1. LEATHER - Leather in all colors. You see accessories and clothes of all styles and prices.  Some of you won't wear leather because it does make you warm and can be very expensive.  This pretty Moto jacket from Neiman Marcus is over $300.  Want to add some leather at an affordable price, jewelry is the way to go.

2. CROCHET- is everywhere!  Here's a trend I love but it's not always appropriate to wear to the office. So, I look forward to wearing this to the pool or beach as a bathing suit coverup and add some crochet jewelry.

3. TROPICAL PRINTS - For me personally, I only feel comfortable wearing the prints (I call them "vacation camo") on vacation at a tropical location. 4. COLOR - The colors on the runways were beautiful.  

We saw lots of Scarlet red, a statement power color.  Who needs the LBD when you can wear scarlet. 

Some other colors very popular this year are Mint Green, Pink, Yellow, Classic Blue, and Neon! Neon is one color trend I will skip. I think this trend has come and gone so many times, you have to really love it to wear a neon outfit. Maybe add a pair of shoes in neon to brighten a neutral outfit or a small clutch handbag. 

It's a great time to add some color to your everyday looks. Like the tropical prints, some of you don't feel comfortable with wearing lots of color. Rock this trend by adding color to your outfit with your jewelry. 

5. SHORT SUITS AND SEQUINS FOR DAYTIME - I love both these trends. There may be some places you may not feel comfortable wearing these two trends, but that doesn't mean you can't enjoy them.  In todays world, I say put on that sequin top to work from home.  Why not? we all need a little sparkle in our days. Meeting those friends for a Zoom cocktail hour after a day of working from home? you'll look super cute in this adorble short suit.  

It's important to note that although new trends come out every year and season, you don't have to revamp your entire wordrobe with every new season.  Mixing new with older items in your closet always works.  Lots of trends just keep on going season to season. Some we love that continue to stay strong in the fashion world are big sleeves, polka dots, crisp white, and of course animal prints.
