Winter Work from Home Fashion and Jewelry Inspiration

Hey everyone! We all survived the holiday season and it's great to start a brand new year full of hope that good things are going to happen and we can all get back to normal soon. But for now, it’s winter and most of us are soo ready to go away to a nice warm tropical location, at least all of us here in New England are because... baby, it’s cold outside! But, we are still trying to stay safe and healthy so we are putting off those vacations for a bit longer. That being said, the zoom meetings continue and we want to look great for our coworkers or friends when we have our “happy hour” cocktail together…much needed some days.
An interesting new fashion catagory or "trend" has come out of all these work from home zoom meetings, it's called the the mullet outfit, named for the ‘80s-inspired hairstyle that’s neat-and-cropped in front, but unexpectedly long-and-unruly in back.
The trend refers to - outfits that your coworkers will only see from the waist up depending on how you angle your camera. Business on top, whatever floats your boat on the bottom. Of course, being careful not to show the bottom half if not appropriate work attire.

Select a simple white "V" neck shirt. White is always a good color as it brightens the face and is a nice backdrop for colorful jewelry. Throw on a pair of jeans and comfy slippers to complete the look.

If you need a bit more conservative look for those executive meetings, adding a blazer over your comfy top is all you need. No one will ever know you're wearing shorts! We love the comfort of wearing shorts and it's probably not something you can ever wear to the office, so take advantage of this time to wear them all year long.
Jewelry always completes a look. Our "Icy Blue Collection" reminds us of the sun shining on a frozen pond. The blue on the stones looks beautiful on camera whether you are on a zoom office meeting or a zoom coctail hour after work.
Below, I think the denim look is perfect for after work coctail hour with coworkers or friends, just add a bit of bling.
This trend can work for most of us, but we don't expect it to work for someone like the beautiful and always appropriately dressed Kate Middleton, she is royalty after all. She has looked absolutely gorgeous on every single zoom photo!

Whatever your style, have fun creating different looks. Mixing and matching color and jewelry is a great way to express who you are. Now that we are working from home more, we have the freedom to do this.
